For over 91 years, CO-OP Gas & Supply Company has been more than just a propane, farm, home, and hardware store—we’ve been a community of neighbors helping neighbors. Founded in 1934 by local families who each invested $10 to build something lasting for Bonner County, we’ve grown into one of the oldest cooperatives in the Sandpoint–Ponderay area.

The Annual CO-OP tree & Shrub Sale!

Believe it or not, it is already time to bring up the CO-OP’s Annual Tree & Shrub Sale! I know, right? In December? Well….yes.
January is typically Dreaming Month for gardeners in our area largely because we can’t do much else. So, now is the time to get out the graph paper and plan for your new trees & shrubs. More info will be coming shortly! Stay tuned!
Trivia & Odd Things

Have you ever heard of Plough Monday? How about Cat Nights? Winter’s Back Breaks? Plough Monday traditionally occurred on the first Monday after January 6, Epiphany. It signaled the day that everyone got back to work after the Christmas Holiday festivities ended. Winter’s Back Breaks generally occurs about the middle of February but as late as March.
